About the Event

A special charity event...

This is a donation only event in support of the Cambridge Acorn Project. This fantastic local charity provides therapeutic support to children and families who are experiencing issues of trauma, social injustice and stress. Please donate whatever you can and all money donated will go directly to the Cambridge Acorn Project.

The Sunday Self Care Session...

Taking time for your own self care is so important in our busy day to day lives. Join us at our Sunday Self Care Session where we will be taking time out to go a little slower.

We will practice mindfulness, meditation and have time for some deep relaxation with therapuetic sound from gongs and cyrstal singing bowls. No previous experience is necessary and these sessions are suitable for all levels!

Mindfulness is a wonderful technique to help us unwind, reconnect our body and mind, and to come back into the present moment. If you are feeling a little stressed, over busy, overwhelmed or anxious then these sessions can hopefully help you have a little pause and time for you. We will guide you through the session and as you will discover…there is no wrong way to be mindful!

Adding therapetuic sound to our relaxation helps us to activiate our parasympathetic nervous system, allowing us to relax and heal. Sound can transport us to a different area of our wellbeing, using the vibration to release tension and experience feelings of happiness and stillness.

These sessions are all about promoting your own self care. Taking time for yourself, inviting relaxation and boosting our wellbeing.

There will be time for a cup of tea and cake at the end too (because cake makes everything more relaxing!)

What to bring...

It's a good idea to wear clothes that you feel comfortable in. If you want to lie on the floor for the session then bring along a yoga mat. There are also chairs if you'd prefer to sit. Bring along a blanket and a cushion too if you want to feel extra cosy!
